Jamie walked into her very first workout in 2014 and had the wrong idea about group fitness and exercise. She was there in hopes I could look a certain way and fix myself. After misusing exercise and finding herself addicted to double workouts seven days a week, she finally took a step back and reevaluated the purpose of exercise in her life. The goal was no longer to fix what she perceived to be wrong with her, but to build relationships with those around her and build confidence and trust in herself. She no longer spins to “fix” her body or burn calories, she spins to refresh and relax her mind by doing one of the most physically and mentally challenging things possible. She teaches to connect and learn from the community created with each pedal stroke at CycleBar.
