Ian played basketball and was a cross-country runner in high school. During college, he continued his athletic pursuits through dance and studied music theatre. When he moved to NYC, he fell out of exercising, but his love for exercise was reignited when he found cycling. He lost 25 pounds, but more importantly gained a clear, stress free mind. As an instructor, he wants to use what has helped him through hard times to help others. Ian is also an actor, writer, comedian and dog walker.
